Classroom Management

Class room management is something very important as a teacher. The way I will incorporate classroom management in my class is by setting a few rules and guidelines for the students in my class. It is very important that the student realize that you are the teacher and they are the students, meaning you are in control. I always learned "If you give them an inch, they will take a yard".

Teacher/Parent interaction

I feel that parents have a big responsibility in the learning of their child. The reason I say this is because before a child even start kindergarten, the parent is the one who teach them the basic things such as how to write their name and how to remember their phone number. When a child starts school first grade is were they really began to learn how to write and read, that's why it is so important that the parent get and stay involved with the teacher as well as their child when they start school. It is the teachers job to teach them at school, but when they are at home it is the parents job to continue the teaching at home. If the parent will spend 15-20 min a day to make sure the child homework is done and make sure they know their high frequency words for the week it will help improve the child grade. The teacher will allow the parents to look on the class blog and view their child progress in the class as well as different events that are going on at the school so that they can get involved with programs like PTO. http//awilliamsteachingplanparentcommunication.blogspot.com

Teacher/Student interaction

The main reason for wanting to incorporate using blogs in my classroom is to communicate with the students. This is will allow me and the student to develop a teacher student relationship. It will allow them to express themselves on their blogs such as write poems or just expressing themselves to me and sometimes the class. This will also allow them to post their assignments such as homework and discussion questions about certain topics. Using Blogs

Using blogs has opened my eyes to see on a whole new level of teaching. I think that using blogs is a very affective way to incorporate learning in the class room. As a teacher my plans are to incorporate using blogs in my class room. A little about myself

I am Andrea Williams I was born and raise in Mobile Alabama. Every since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to help children weather it was to be a pediatric nurse, or an Elementary teacher. I am currently a student at The University of South Alabama were I am majoring in Elementary Education. I plan to graduate in 2010 wit aBachelors in Science Degree.
